MökkiMappi ("the app") is developed and operated by Arctic Surf Designs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
MökkiMappi uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. We receive a unique Apple-issued user identifier, your display name (if you choose to share it), and an email address (which may be Apple's private relay address). We do not receive your Apple ID password.
Information you enter about your cottage — name, location coordinates, settings, photos, bookings, checklist items, guest book entries, expense records, and chat messages — is stored on our server to enable family sharing. This data belongs to you and is associated with your account.
If you enable push notifications, we store your device's APNs push token on our server solely to deliver notifications from your cottage group (e.g. new chat messages or bookings). Tokens are refreshed automatically by iOS.
We do not use third-party analytics. We do not track your behaviour within the app. We do not use advertising SDKs of any kind.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
Your data is stored on a Hetzner server located in Helsinki, Finland (EU). All communication between the app and server is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled entirely by Apple Sign In.
Photos you upload are stored on the server and are accessible to all members of your cottage group.
Certain data — your cottage name, bookings, and checklist state — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This local data is yours, is backed up via iCloud if you have iCloud Backup enabled, and is not accessible to us.
Your account and all associated cottage data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (via the Settings tab in the app), all server-side data associated with your account — including group data if you are the sole owner — is permanently deleted within 30 days.
MökkiMappi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; to object to or restrict processing; and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at arcticsurfdesigns@gmail.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For account issues, bugs, or feature requests, email us directly. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
If you've reinstalled the app or switched devices, open the app, go to the Cottage tab, and tap Restore Purchase. Your unlock will be reapplied automatically.
Go to the Family tab after unlocking. Tap the invite code to share it via iMessage, WhatsApp, AirDrop or any other method. Family members open the link on their device.
Go to the Cottage tab → Info. Tap Set up your cottage website, enter a URL slug, choose your privacy settings, and toggle it live. Your page appears at mokki.arcticsurfdesigns.com/your-name.
You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
If you're not receiving notifications, check that MökkiMappi has notification permission in your iPhone Settings. Notification delivery requires an active internet connection.
